'Lincoln'

Shadows left to right or right to left?  Pillars dark or light?  Millions of people visit the Lincoln Memorial every year, but virtually no one goes around the back.

 'Pegasus'

If you don't know what this is then you need to get on the net and learn about 6th June 1944.  Then sit in silence for a minute in honour of Lt. Den Brotheridge, who was the first of thousands for whom that Day of Days was their last.  Stupid human race.  What a waste.

'Crosses'

Sometimes I'm glad I'm made of tin.  Maybe if the world had been populated by tin humans rather than the organic variety this sort of thing would not have happened.  But maybe life, death, justice and freedom are inseparably linked?

'Tanning'

Logs over gungy water.  Used in the leather-making process, but I've no idea what for.

 'Faded Grandeur'

This is St Pancras Railway Station, or maybe it's Kings Cross.  Oh dear I should really write things down.
